Session 1- Functional Polymers and Organic Materials
Call for Papers
Symposium 1: Functional Polymers and Organic Materials at POLYMAT 2026 will focus on recent advances in the design and synthesis of functional organic materials and high-performance polymers for applications in energy, medicine, and environmental technologies. In addition, the symposium will highlight hybrid materials, such as mixed-matrix membranes, as well as computational approaches for simulating relevant processes in polymer systems. Contributions addressing emerging trends in polymeric material characterization techniques that enable structure–property–performance correlations are also welcome.
Key Subtopics:
- Advanced polymer membranes for energy applications, gas separation, and purification
- Thermostable and chemically resistant polymers
- Stimuli-responsive polymers
- Conducting and semiconducting polymers
- Biomaterials, drug delivery systems, and tissue engineering scaffolds
- Design and synthesis of coordination polymers, MOFs, and Mixed-Matrix Membranes (MMMs) for different applications
- Density Functional Theory (DFT), Ab initio and semi-empirical methods for studies of reaction pathways in Organic and Polymeric Systems; Structure–Reactivity Relationships.
